Storm Sabine/Ciara didn’t stop us – successful networking in Amsterdam
Although getting to Amsterdam on Monday, February 10th, for the 5th European Conference on Clinical Research was quite a challenge, 250 attendees arrived safely. The participants were rewarded with a very profound program, covering regulatory topics as well as future trends. The creation of a GDPR code of conduct for CROs and service providers in clinical trials was discussed as well as new technologies and trends like digital therapeutics #DTx and artificial intelligence in healthcare. During the breaks the participants filled the exhibition area with vivid discussions and looked for an exchange with the 18 exhibitors. The bright magenta booth of MLM was centrally located and certainly eye catching with its different sampling kits and information about full service central lab services.
A highlight was definitely the social event on day 1, where 3 associations celebrated their anniversaries (15th EUCROF anniversary, 25th anniversary of ACRON and the 10th anniversary of BeCRO) at the Heineken experience. It was great fun to explore the history of the Heineken brewery, learn about the production of beer and mingle with old and new friends and contacts.
