This year’s OCT was held in Barcelona, Spain, with almost 500 participants from pharma, biotech, medtech and clinical research organizations. The OCT has grown steadily over the last seven years. MLM attended as one of 80 exhibitors and presented its services to a broad spectrum of visitors. There has been a strong interest in the MLM Safeguard Box as an important packaging solution to protect samples against thermal stress and in MLM’s services as an international central lab for clinical trials. The conference program covered a wide range of subjects in the conduct of clinical trials – from patient recruitment over site selection and regulatory issues to sponsor-vendor interactions. One outstanding presentation was given by Veronika Kunert from Proinnovera, Muenster, who presented a value-driven concept to optimize the collaboration between sponsors and service providers. MLM has already signed in for OCT 2018 which will take place in Barcelona again.
